... since Christmas I've been trying to draw more - although not at an alarming rate or anything. I got some Prismacolor Colored Pencils as one of my gifts from my husband's parents, and I don't want to waste them on crappy projects, so I am going to practice before using them - but I don't want to have them sitting around forever, 'cause then they spent their money for nothing.

Sooo, since I will be drawing more (and hooking my scanner up to my computer - therefore uploading old sketches as well), I decided I will be transferring over to my account. There's nothing there, of course, I haven't started using it yet. I just wanted to leave a journal here letting everyone know what's going on.

I'm completely frustrated. I haven't been able to draw anything that makes me even remotely happy and I get frustrated and stop drawing before I even have something I can call art.

I no longer need motivation, I need a freaking idea. Well, that's not completely true... I have ideas... but making them into a visual is what I'm having problems with. Maybe I've lost my talent.

I don't know what to do...

My artwork has been absent for a while, but.. I'm finally working on something. It's not the greatest thing ever, especially not as is.. but I will be continuing to work on it.. I am somewhat proud, seeing as how I haven't done a portrait pencil sketch in a while (at least not seriously and I've never done so well without a reference). It's not ready to submit as a deviation, but here it is in Scraps:

Benjamin got me my Christmas present early... and guess what it is!?

If you guessed a Wacom graphic tablet, then you are correct! I'm sooo happy. I've been playing with it all night. I drew somethin' in Photoshop to try and get used to drawing with a tablet on the computer... and it turned out decent.. I shall post it, just to show you.

Ben is teaching me php.

It's very interesting and I'm loving it. Soon enough I will be able to make a wonderful website of my own and be able to help out with our business like we planned from the beginning.

We were going to start IntriCraft as partners, but as time went on and he actually got some clients, we realized he couldn't teach me to program and get sites/business cards made on time. So, I decided to sit back and let him do it, but it's gotten to the point in the business where we will get more done in the long run if I can help him in the future. Yes, the business is actually doing quite well, and I will be putting together some cardboard signs to give to my brother and sister to place on their desks at work (an ad basically saying "need a website? business card? flier? contact ben brock from intricraft for more information").

As for my personal pleasures, I've been doing a little bit of art in Photoshop.. trying to get a handle on things there. Nothing is complete, and I really stop a project and start a new one before I have anything to show off..... so I don't want to submit things here and bore you all with my half-assed art.
Hopefully as time goes on, I continue to work harder at things and maybe even finish something. Then I'll have something to show all of you.

Anyway, that's my life. How's things for you?

P.S. I've given up soda, so I've also been fighting migraines for the last couple of weeks - as well as dealing with allergies ('cause I tried to clean my room). Also, I've been going to the dentist and getting my mouth pretty. I might be getting braces!
